A comparison between Sony Xperia Mini and Samsung Galaxy Mini

Two mini smartphones - Sony Xperia Mini and Samsung Galaxy Mini are the best masterpieces of two companies coming with fascinated features. Both handsets come equipped with high powerful 600MHz processors with small frames. Besides, both are very lightweight so one can easily carry them from one place to another place. Design
Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini comes well equipped with an attractive blend of neat curves & sharp angles that looks like expensive and modern. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Mini is also an appealing phone following on LG Optimus easily fit in your pocket or palm.

Samsung Galaxy Mini boasts of 3.14 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen supporting 256K colours. But the phone has a fairly low 127 ppi. On the contrary, Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini has 2.55” TFT capacitive touchscreen with 240x320 pixels. Apart from this, the display clocks in 156 ppi. We can choose Samsung mini for larger screen. But Sony Ericsson has higher ppi (pixel per inch). So, we can get sharper picture quality at the same resolution.
Camera
With 3.15 MP at 2048 x 1536 resolution, Samsung Galaxy Mini Camera supports QVGA video capture, Geo-tagging and smile detection. On the other hand, Sony Xperia Mini comes empowered with a 5 MP camera along with features like auto focus, LED flash etc. It also supports VGA@30fps.
Storage Capacity
Sony Xperia Mini boasts of 128 MB of in-built storage and 512 MB of RAM and support with 16GB external memory. But Samsung Galaxy Mini has more internal storage space as compared to Sony’s phone. It offers 384 MB of RAM but it provides MicroSD support with 32GB. Samsung Galaxy Mini provides better storage capacity both externally and internally when compare with Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini.
Operating System
Sony Xperia Mini comes powered with Android 2.1 Éclair bringing a little fun only as compared to the Gingerbread whereas Samsung Galaxy comes with a bit better 2.2 Froyo Android operating system with an improved 2.3 Gingerbread.  You can do multitasking work with it.
Processor
Powered with 600MHz ARM 11 Processor, Sony Xperia Mini is based upon Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset and this handset is also packed with an Adreno 200 GPU whilst Samsung Galaxy Mini comes with a 600 MHz on ARM6 processor which is unable to run faster than Sony Xperia Mini.
To sum up, when we compare Sony Xperia Mini vs. Samsung Galaxy Mini, we found Sony Xperia Mini as a winner in most of areas. Though it is loser in terms of storage and operating system, you have to choose your mobile according your requirements and budget.
